First to final year B.Sc. Nursing students flooded our online groups with their overwhelming responses in form of Videos, Audio clippings, Quotes, Poem and Short stories, bearing the tagline: 'SUPPORT NURSES AND MIDWIVES'.
Day has outflown with colors of talents, inner voice and zeal of students.
PPSU Students School of Nursing B.Sc. first year are all motivated and geared to do their bit by spreading awareness during Quarantine and Lockdown.The students believe in 'Nothing can stop us from doing our job, if we are determined'.We at PPSU urge everyone to Stay Safe.
P P Savani University, School of Nursing organised the awareness program in relation with WORLD AIDS DAY 2019 with the theme "Communities makes the difference", on 2nd december, 2019. Awareness campaign was conducted via rally execution and Street play at Kosamba.
P P Savani University, School of Nursing organized the awareness program in relation with World AIDS Day 2017 on 1st December 2017. This is 29th year of celebration. The theme of the year 2017 was “EVERYBODY COUNTS”. Awareness Campaign & Health Education was conducted at Seminar hall of the university. Health education & Awareness campaign (Mimes & Role play) bring awareness among the youngsters about the HIV/ AIDS, its causes, sign & symptoms and treatment available for its cure. Students of School of Physiotherapy & Science & Faculty participated in this event. Poster competition was also organized for the students. There were 06 single entries & 08 group entries from B.Sc Nursing & GNM participated in poster compition. The prize was awarded to Champion & Runner up.

Symbolically it has been celebrated with responsibility of promising the body of Nursing Profession through ‘Lamp Lighting & Oath taking Ceremony’ for the Ist year GNM, & BSc Nursing students of P PSavani School of Nursing was planned and organized on 1-02-2018.
The Chief Guest for the Day was Honorable Dr. M.N. Wadel, Medical Superintendent, New Civil Hospital, Surat, Presided by Shree VallabhbhaiSavani, President ,P.P.Savani University. The guest of honour were Mr. I.A. Kadiwala, vice President, GNC, Dr. Ghanshyam Patel, MD Physician, Suchi Hospital, Dr. ParagSanghani, Provost, P.P.Savani University, Miss. Indrawati Rao, Principal, GCON, Surat, Mr. DharamsinhbhaiAnghan, Director, P.P.Savani University. Faculty members of various departments of P.P. Savani University, parents and students were present at the ceremony. The significance of the function was portrayed by Dr. SateeshBiradar, Principal, P.P.Savani School of Nursing and was followed by the Lamp Lighting Ceremony. Song “This Little Light of Mine” dedicating themselves to the nursing profession. All the guest & guest of honor and principal school of nursing shared their experience and inspired the students to be committed nurse to serve the society with dedication and provide the best wishes for their career. The program was concluded by Vote of thanks.
The Pulse Polio Initiative was started with an objective of achieving hundred per cent coverage under Oral Polio Vaccine. It aimed to immunize children through improved social mobilization, plan mop-up operations in areas where poliovirus has almost disappeared and maintain high level of morale among the public.P.P. Savani School of Nursing also participated in this program. There were 24 students of first year General Nursing and Midwifery course, who participated in the pulse polio immunization program. It was conducted in Ankleshwar, on the dates 11th, 12th and 13th March 2018.
The students were posted in groups at various places at Ankleshwar like, bus station, railway station, market places, etc. the main activities carried out were as follows: Immunization of under five children,Counseling and health education to parents regarding importance of immunization, Vaccine calculation, Distribution of sweets to children for encouragement, Maintenance of cold chain, Collection of statistics. There was a training session conducted for the students before the commencement of the program. The training was given by Dr. Swati and Mr. Pradeep who were the trainers from Municipal Corporation of Ankleshwar city.
P.P. Savani School of Nursing celebrated International Women’s Day on 8th March 2018 in honor of all women. Health awarenesstalk for the women been organized in collaboration with ShrimatiJayabenModi Hospital, Ankleshwar. The theme for International Women’s Day 2018 was: “TIME IS NOW: RURAL AND URBAN ACTIVISTS TRANSFORMING WOMEN’S LIFE”. The Principal, HOD’s and Faculty members of various departments were present for the function. Students of School of Physiotherapy, Science, Nursing and Management participated in this event.
Dr. Chandrakant Prasad, MD Physician, Dr. Riya Goyal, Dietician, Dr. Vruti, Physiotherapist, were the eminent speakers of the Awareness Talk. They highlighted various points regarding health issues of women which includes the following: Malpractices followed by women on routine basis, Alternative to overcome these malpractices, Women’s reproductive health and common health issues among women, Various drug interactions, Healthy diet, Adverse effects of false practice of dieting among youngsters, Importance of exercise in avoiding various ailments.
P PSavani University, School of Nursing for the celebration ofWorld Health Dayorganized on the spot poster competition and debate competition on 9th April 2018 at Nursing Classroom. Around 25 students from both B.Sc. Nursing and GNM participated in these competitions.
The theme for poster competition was“Universal Health Coverage: Everyone, Everywhere.” which was judged by Dr. Neeraj Shah, Principal, School of Engineering and Ms. Mona Chandra, Principal, School of Architecture and Design.The topic for debate competition was “Effects of Social Media on Health: Good or Bad” Which was judged by Dr. Bindesh Patel, Registrar, PPSU and Dr. Tejal Patel, Principal, School of Management.Dr. Bindesh Patel, Registrar, PPSU, addressed regarding the current scenario of modernization on health. Dr. Tejal Patel, Dr. Neeraj Shah and Ms. Mona Chandra congratulated and praised the students for their efforts and active participation in the programme. They also stated that the students were successful in creating an effective impact on health awareness and clearly transacted their ideas and information through the posters.
