SON had organized School health Programme through “Health check up, Role play and Health awareness camp at M M Karodiya High School, Kosamba”. More than 80 Students were “screened and educated on ill effect of mobile addiction and good touch-bad touch” through role play and exhibition, Additionally, Healthy habits to be followed in daily practice also educated.
The school of nursing organized one day workshop on “Pediatric Life Support”. Dr. Nihal Patel, Pediatrician, Female First Hospital, Surat., having 18 yrs of experience headed the session followed by hands on training on Neonatal CPR and Infant CPR. The students and faculties actively participated in the session taking home a message of “Join Hands in Saving Lives”
At the School of Nursing, faculty members participated in a transformative one-day workshop on Essential Emergency Clinical Procedures, led by "Chief Simulation Educator Mr. Rahul Bisht" from Delta Health Care. This highly interactive and informative training enhanced the faculty’s clinical practice skills through hands-on instruction in CPR based on AHA guidelines, intubation, and emergency case handling in ICU and trauma centers, all designed to keep pace with the latest trends in clinical practice.
On the occasion of International Midwives day, School of Nursing, PPSU has organised expert talk on “Midwifery Ethics and Best Practices : Ensuring Safe and Respectful Maternity Care”. The session was conducted by “Dr. Dimple Chhatwani, Cherish hospital and infertility centre,Surat”. The event focused on holistic maternity care with respect, ethical labour practices, water birthing, its challenges & pros and cons. Students actively took part in the question answer session at the end.

This groundbreaking event was conducted by Mr. Nilesh Vejpara, Master Trainer Gujarat, “enlightened Disaster management skills such as rescue the victim during earthquake, fire explosion etc”. SON, PPSU has organised a play on Good touch & Bad touch for primary school students, Gijram village. The 7th sem B.Sc. Nursing students taught them how to set Limit & personal boundaries with the strangers to foster a safe environment. Students also demonstrated which touch is good touch & which one is bad touch. on 17 th January’2024 School of Nursing celebrated the “Lamp Lighting and Oath Taking ceremony” of the 7th Batch of BSc. Nursing and GNM. 115 students took an oath today to mark the day with reverence to Florence Nightingale and spend their lives in purity. They have entered into a noble profession and vowed to practice with nobility and humility.
On the occasion of “World AIDS Awareness Day”, 4th sem BSC Nursing students took initiative to spread awareness among the general population through “Flash Mobs and Rally”. It was taken place at different faliyas of “Simodara” Village where they spread their word through "informative slogans". Students also performed flash mobs where they spread the awareness through different dance moves. Over all, the event was of great success.

Workshop attained by SON Faculty as well internship students who will be future employees towards patients care as well towards teaching.
P.P. Savani School of Nursing has organized the nutri-fest on "Wellness on a Plate" at Kaantva Village on September 4, 2023. The villagers were very engaged and asked many questions. They were also excited to learn about the different healthy food options that were available to them. The program was a success! Around 100 villagers & schoolchildren benefited from the program.

Health education & Awareness campaign (Mimes & Role play) bring awareness among the youngsters about the HIV/ AIDS, its causes, sign & symptoms and treatment available for its cure. The guest of honour were Mr. I.A. Kadiwala, vice President, GNC, Dr. Ghanshyam Patel, MD Physician, Suchi Hospital, Dr. ParagSanghani, Provost, P.P.Savani University, Miss. Indrawati Rao, Principal, GCON, Surat, Mr. DharamsinhbhaiAnghan, Director, P.P.Savani University. Faculty members of various departments of P.P. The Pulse Polio Initiative was started with an objective of achieving hundred per cent coverage under Oral Polio Vaccine. It aimed to immunize children through improved social mobilization, plan mop-up operations in areas where poliovirus has almost disappeared and maintain high level of morale among the public.P.P. Savani School of Nursing also participated in this program. There were 24 students of first year General Nursing and Midwifery course, who participated in the pulse polio immunization program. It was conducted in Ankleshwar, on the dates 11th, 12th and 13th March 2018.
The students were posted in groups at various places at Ankleshwar like, bus station, railway station, market places, etc. the main activities carried out were as follows: Immunization of under five children,Counseling and health education to parents regarding importance of immunization, Vaccine calculation, Distribution of sweets to children for encouragement, Maintenance of cold chain, Collection of statistics. There was a training session conducted for the students before the commencement of the program. The training was given by Dr. Swati and Mr. Pradeep who were the trainers from Municipal Corporation of Ankleshwar city.
P.P. Savani School of Nursing celebrated International Women’s Day on 8th March 2018 in honor of all women. Health awarenesstalk for the women been organized in collaboration with ShrimatiJayabenModi Hospital, Ankleshwar. The theme for International Women’s Day 2018 was: “TIME IS NOW: RURAL AND URBAN ACTIVISTS TRANSFORMING WOMEN’S LIFE”. The Principal, HOD’s and Faculty members of various departments were present for the function. Students of School of Physiotherapy, Science, Nursing and Management participated in this event.

They highlighted various points regarding health issues of women which includes the following: Malpractices followed by women on routine basis, Alternative to overcome these malpractices, Women’s reproductive health and common health issues among women, Various drug interactions, Healthy diet, Adverse effects of false practice of dieting among youngsters, Importance of exercise in avoiding various ailments.
P PSavani University, School of Nursing for the celebration ofWorld Health Dayorganized on the spot poster competition and debate competition on 9th April 2018 at Nursing Classroom. Around 25 students from both B.Sc. Nursing and GNM participated in these competitions.
The theme for poster competition was“Universal Health Coverage: Everyone, Everywhere.” which was judged by Dr. Neeraj Shah, Principal, School of Engineering and Ms. Mona Chandra, Principal, School of Architecture and Design.The topic for debate competition was “Effects of Social Media on Health: Good or Bad” Which was judged by Dr. Bindesh Patel, Registrar, PPSU and Dr. Tejal Patel, Principal, School of Management.Dr. Bindesh Patel, Registrar, PPSU, addressed regarding the current scenario of modernization on health. Dr. Tejal Patel, Dr. Neeraj Shah and Ms. Mona Chandra congratulated and praised the students for their efforts and active participation in the programme. They also stated that the students were successful in creating an effective impact on health awareness and clearly transacted their ideas and information through the posters.
